How is the reading time estimate calculated?+
It divides your word count by 200 (an average adult silent-reading speed) and rounds to the nearest minute, with a one-minute floor, so even a two-word sentence shows "1 min" instead of "0 min".
How does the tool decide what counts as a paragraph?+
A paragraph is any block of text separated from the next by a blank line. If you write everything as one continuous block with single line breaks, it counts as a single paragraph. Hit Enter twice to start a new one.
Do I need to save or submit my text to see the stats?+
No. Every number updates live as you type, directly in your browser, and nothing is stored or sent anywhere. Refresh the page and the text is gone, so copy anything you want to keep.
