Crop image

Free crop or a fixed ratio (1:1, 4:3, 16:9…).

Everything runs in your browser. No file is ever uploaded to a server.

How to use it
  1. 1Drop an image onto the page or click to choose one from your files.
  2. 2Optionally pick a fixed ratio (1:1, 4:3, 16:9…), or leave it on "Free".
  3. 3Drag a rectangle over the preview to mark the area you want to keep.
  4. 4Adjust the ratio at any time. The selection reflows to match.
  5. 5Click "Download crop (PNG)" to save just the selected area.
Frequently asked questions
Can I crop to an exact aspect ratio like 16:9 or 1:1, not just freehand?+

Yes. Pick one of the preset ratios (1:1, 4:3, 16:9, 3:4, or 9:16) before or after drawing your selection, and the crop box snaps to it. "Free" lets you drag any rectangle.

Does cropping shrink or compress my image?+

No. The crop is drawn from the original full-resolution image data, not from the resized preview, so the exported PNG keeps the source resolution for whatever area you selected.

Is the image uploaded anywhere to be cropped?+

No. The crop happens on an HTML canvas in your browser. The image never leaves your device, which matters if you're cropping something like a screenshot with personal details in it.
