Frequently asked questions
What are the six colors in the generated palette?+

Starting from your base color, the tool derives a shadow (darker version), a dark base, your original base, a complementary color (opposite on the color wheel), an analogous color (a neighboring hue), and a light tint, a spread useful for UI states, illustration shading, or branding.

Do I need to type a hex code, or can I just pick a color visually?+

Either works: use the color swatch picker for a visual pick, or type or paste a hex code directly into the text field next to it. Both stay in sync and regenerate the palette instantly.

How do I get a swatch's color into my design tool?+

Click any of the six swatches: its hex code is copied straight to your clipboard, and a brief "Copied" label confirms it, ready to paste into CSS, Figma, or wherever you need it.
