Frequently asked questions
Why do I get an error when I choose EAN-13 or UPC-A?+

Those formats are strict about length and digits: EAN-13 needs exactly 13 digits and UPC-A needs exactly 12. Code 128 and Code 39 are far more forgiving: Code 128 accepts text or numbers of any length, and Code 39 accepts letters and numbers.

What does the checkbox under the value field actually do?+

It toggles whether the human-readable value is printed underneath the bars. Turn it off if you just want the bars themselves, for example to place your own label in a printing template.

What resolution or file type do I get when I download?+

A PNG, rendered straight from the on-screen canvas at the same width and height as the preview, sharp enough for most printing and scanning use cases without any extra export settings to configure.
